News&EventsOn December 19, a remarkable signing ceremony was held in Ji Hua Laboratory, which successfully introduced the first academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician Ye Hengqiang, full-time, and achieved the breakthrough of Foshan in introducing academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Chen Junjiang, deputy director of the laboratory, presided over the signing ceremony. First, he warmly welcomed the arrival of academician Ye Hengqiang, and then briefly introduced the academic experience of academician Ye Hengqiang.
Song Zhiyi, executive deputy director of the laboratory, delivered a welcome speech, representing Cao Jianlin, director of Ji Hua Laboratory and all the staff of laboratory, warmly welcome and appreciate the admission of academician Ye Heng Qiang. Subsequently, Song introduced to Ye Hengqiang academician the current work progress and planning of Ji Hua laboratory.
Academician Ye Hengqiang expressed a high degree of recognition for the development of the laboratory and shared his experiences and insights in the field of scientific research. Academician Ye Hengqiang said he was very happy to return to Guangdong Province and join Ji Hua Laboratory. He hoped to make a breakthrough in the field of materials science by taking advantage of the national strategy of building Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Shenzhen in building a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and also contributed to the introduction of high-end talent team and major projects for Ji Hua laboratory and Foshan.
